Nevada State Museum Brings Back Historic Event after Construction Hiatus

Carson City, Nevada.  The Nevada State Museum hosts the 2009 Carson City Mint Coin Show, August 21-22.  The historic event returns after a one-year hiatus for the construction of the new Dema Guinn Concourse.  Coin Show hours are from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.  Be sure to purchase your Lincoln Commemorative Medallions minted on Coin Press No. 1.

Stimulus Funding Distributed to Nevada’s Arts Industry

Nevada Arts Council Awards SNAP Grants

Carson City, Nev. The Nevada Arts Council recently distributed $250,500 in federal stimulus funding to 39 arts organizations throughout the state, helping to preserve jobs and arts programs in Fiscal Year 2010. One-time grants of up to $10,000 were awarded to organizations with budgets ranging from less that $25,000 to over one million, from six counties and thirteen communities.  (Following is a list of recipients.)
