UNR Special Collections photo collection search –
The photograph collection in the Special Collections
Department of the University of Nevada, Reno, Library contains
approximately 200,000 images which document life in Nevada and the
surrounding region from the 1860's to the present. The main emphasis of
the collection is on the region of the state north of Clark County.
Included are photographs of people, places, events, and the state's major
industries, including mining, farming, ranching, divorce, gambling, and
railroading.

School of Medicine, Great Basin History of Medicine Photo Archives –
This collection documents the history of 100 years
of health care in Nevada,
including early hospitals, doctors, nurses, dentists, veterinarians, the
UNR school of medicine, the Nevada State Medical Association, and member
societies.
The Stereoviews of Carleton Watkins
- California photographer Carleton Watkins made several trips to Nevada
between 1875-1877. Images in the Watkins catalog " New Series"
numbered #4066-4192 are of Nevada scenes; images #4201-4242 are of Central Pacific Railroad construction and Donner's Pass.
