The Nevada Literacy Coalition (NLO) supports the efforts of non-profit state, county, and local literacy improvement programs for Nevadans.

Its focus is to insure that educationally disadvantaged adults have equitable access to information and materials.

The NLO supports literacy improvement through information and referral, consultation and technical assistance, resource sharing, training, collaborative planning, and advocacy.

The NLO operates a State Literacy Resource Center, which lends print, electronic, and audio-visual materials to programs throughout the state.  The Center contains information on such topics as:

  • Adult Basic Education (ABE)

  • Family Literacy

  • ESL/Citizenship
