BETTER EDUCATION THROUGH THE ARTS GRANTS

Quarterly grants available through the Arts Education Program, Better Education through the Arts Grants (BETA) provide funding up to $750 for individuals and organizations whose work involves the planning, implementation, and/or evaluation of arts education programs. Grant funds encourage individuals as well as nonprofit organizations and government entities to broaden their skills through participation in career enhancement activities.   
Postmark Deadlines:

  • May 15, 2009 (for projects July 1-Sept 30, 2009)
  • August 17, 2009 (for projects Oct 1-Dec 31, 2009)
  • November 16, 2009 (for projects Jan 1-March 31, 2010)
  • February 16, 2010 (for projects April 1-June 30, 2010)
Eligible Applicants: An applicant may receive either one BETA grant or one Jackpot Grant per fiscal year. All applicants are required to have U.S. citizenship or legal resident status, be a resident of Nevada for 12 months prior to application date and be at lleast 21 years old and not be seeking a degree-seeking student. Current recipients of ALFA or AIR grants are eligible for an organization BETA Grant.

Professional Development Grants

Professional Development Grant (PDG). PDGs are noncompetitive grants available throughout the year to eligible applicants on a first-come, first-served basis while funding is available. PDG grants support constituent attendance at professional development activities and are up to $650 for out-of-state activities, up to $500 for in-state activities not sponsored by NAC, and up to $350 for NAC-sponsored activities.
Postmark Deadline: Available on a first-come first-served and reimbursement basis throughout the year.
Eligible Applicants: All applicants are required to be a Nevada resident for 12 months prior to application deadline, be at least 21 years old and not seeking an academic degree.
